WLFI: Blacklisted 272 Addresses to Protect User Asset Security, Will Never Ban an Account for Participating Normally in the Market

September 6th: The Trump family's crypto project World Liberty Fi officially announced on social media that their team has been closely following the community's recent concerns about wallet blacklisting. The fundamental principle is transparency. That is to say, WLFI only takes measures to protect users and never interferes with normal activities. In the past few days, a total of 272 wallets have been blacklisted, which only accounts for a very small proportion of the total holders. This action is purely a temporary measure taken to prevent harm during the investigation and to assist affected users. Among these 272 addresses: · 215 (approximately 79.0%) are related to phishing attacks. The team took proactive measures to prevent hackers from transferring funds and is working with legitimate owners to ensure the safety/transfer of assets. · 50 (approximately 18.4%) were reported stolen by owners through support channels, and the team implemented blacklisting at their request. The WLFI team never actively attempts to ban any accounts. They only take action when they identify malicious or high-risk activities that may harm community members. User security is of the utmost importance. The team will never blacklist an account for normal market participation.

Arkham: 45,000 BTC Found Untouched by German Government, Potentially Still Controlled by Movie2K Operator

On September 6th, Arkham announced via social media that the organization has located 5 billion dollars' worth of Bitcoin that the German government failed to confiscate. Previously, in early 2024, the German police seized 49,858 bitcoins from the operator of the video piracy website Movie2K. In July 2024, these bitcoins were sold at an average price of $57,900, resulting in a profit of $2.89 billion. However, Arkham's research uncovered another Bitcoin cluster associated with Movie2K's early operations. This cluster consists of approximately 45,000 bitcoins (worth $4.99 billion) and has not been moved since 2019. These bitcoins are stored in more than 100 Bitcoin wallets and are likely still under the control of the Movie2K operator. The scale of this batch is almost equivalent to the seized bitcoins. The German government's statement did not mention this additional batch of bitcoins and did not incorporate them into the initial "emergency sale" plan.
