Phantom introduces an all-in-one crypto and everyday payment solution, Phantom Cash.
October 1st. As per official channels, Phantom has made an announcement regarding the launch of Phantom Cash. This move extends the usage of cryptocurrency into ordinary daily scenarios, enabling users to handle and utilize their funds within the app without the need to leave. Users can link their bank accounts or credit cards for immediate deposit purposes. They maintain full control over their funds at all times and can quickly convert cryptocurrency into stablecoins or consolidate multiple positions into CASH (a Solana on-chain USD stablecoin issued by Phantom via the Bridge), facilitating fee-less trading.
Users are able to make payments at all Visa-accepted locations using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a virtual/physical Phantom debit card. At the same time, they can enable virtual account receipts and make deposits through one-time verification with Stripe. In the future, users will also be able to earn passive rewards on unused CASH.
The core of Phantom Cash is the stablecoin CASH, ensuring smooth and stable daily usage. It can also be spent in the future through the Stripe global merchant network. Some features (such as virtual accounts, debit cards, and direct deposits) require the completion of Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures handled by Stripe, and Phantom does not have access to users' personal information. Early access is now available, and users can join the waitlist.
