Trump: U.S. Navy Will Block the Strait of Hormuz

April 12th — Trump posted on Truth Social saying the meeting went very smoothly, with most content agreed upon. But the only truly critical issue — the nuclear issue — remains unresolved. Effective immediately, the U.S. Navy’s most elite forces will block all ships trying to enter or exit the Strait of Hormuz. Our goal is eventually to have “all ships come and go freely,” but Iran has blocked this, citing “possible mines somewhere” — mines only they claim to know about. That’s global extortion. Leaders of every country, especially U.S. leaders, will never give in to this extortion. I’ve ordered the Navy to search and intercept all ships paying passage fees to Iran in international waters. Anyone illegally paying those fees won’t be able to navigate the high seas safely. We’re also starting to destroy mines Iran laid in the strait. Any Iranian who dares fire at our forces or peaceful ships will be blown to pieces! Iran knows better than anyone how to end this crisis that’s already destroying their country. Their navy is gone, air force is gone, their air defense systems and radars are useless, Khomeini and most of their “leaders” are dead — all because of their nuclear ambitions. The blockade is imminent. Other countries will join in. We will never let Iran profit from this illegal extortion. They want money, but more than that, they want nuclear weapons. And at the right time, we’re fully prepared — our military will completely destroy all remaining remnants of Iran!

Trump: Iran is not a player at all, believe me, they'll be back.

In an April 12 interview with Fox News, former President Donald Trump said he wrote a week earlier: “Tonight, Iran’s entire civilization would be wiped out—gone forever, never to be restored.” “I don’t want that to happen, but that’s a very real possibility,” he added. “That statement is what got Iran to the negotiating table.” “I could take out Iran in a day,” he continued. “Wipe out all their power, all their electricity, and they’d be gone in an hour. But I don’t want to do that—once that’s done, they’d never rebuild, never come back. I believe they’ll come back to the table because no one else could play that card. They don’t have the cards, and they don’t have the currency.”

「BTC OG Insider Whale」 Agent: Ceasefire Makes Us More Bearish, Unprecedented Two-Week Truce in History Has Never Resolved Such a Conflict

April 12th: Garrett Jin, representative of "BTC OG Insider Whale," posted (on social media) that a ceasefire is sugar-coated poison. Why are we more bearish than optimistic about a ceasefire? The market is trading on the logic that a brief ceasefire will lead to lasting peace—but we believe the odds of that are less than 10%. Reasons: Iran’s demands are incompatible with U.S. requirements, no ceasefire terms have been implemented within 24 hours, and there’s no historical precedent for a conflict of this scale being resolved with just a two-week pause. The actual odds could be even lower.
