Humanity Announces Recovery Plan: Old Tokens to Be Fully Deprecated, New H Token to Be Airdropped at 1:1 Ratio
1 hours ago
June 16 — Humanity, a blockchain project, today unveiled its post-attack recovery plan via an official announcement.
The original H token, deployed across Ethereum, BNB Chain (BSC), and Humanity Mainnet, has been permanently deactivated. The development team will launch a brand new ERC-20 version of the H token, which will be airdropped to eligible holders at a 1:1 ratio. The new token retains the "H" ticker, is deployed exclusively on the Ethereum network, and its contract has completed a full security audit—designated as the sole valid H token for the project’s future ecosystem.
To ensure fair distribution, the project took an on-chain state snapshot on June 8, 2026, at 17:25:35 UTC. The corresponding block heights are: Ethereum (25,274,179), BNB Chain (103,071,069), and Humanity Mainnet (24,247,803). Third-party security firm Quantstamp confirmed all addresses linked to the attack or controlled by the attacker have been excluded from the airdrop. Eligible externally owned accounts (EOAs) will receive the new H token airdrop directly. Assets held in non-EOA addresses—such as liquidity pools and smart contracts—will be temporarily managed in a dedicated fund for coordinated distribution with relevant protocols.
Additionally, Humanity has established an H Token Compensation Fund to address special cases not covered by the automatic airdrop: these include third-party protocol integration issues, discrepancies in liquidity provider holdings, and users who purchased and still hold H tokens after the snapshot date. The project noted the attack is tied to a North Korea-affiliated hacker group, so all compensation claims require identity verification (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) checks. The official claims portal is now live, and users can submit applications via the project’s official channel.
Humanity is collaborating with major centralized exchanges (CEXs), cross-chain bridges, liquidity providers (LPs), and ecosystem partners to advance the migration process. The team plans to restart the Humanity Mainnet in the coming weeks, where the new H token will serve as the network’s native gas token.

UK Regulatory Agency Weighs Limiting Peak Hour Data Center Electricity Consumption
June 16 | According to Bloomberg, the UK’s energy regulator Ofgem is evaluating whether data centers should be required to cut electricity consumption during periods of grid stress. This initiative is part of the UK’s response to surging electricity demand spurred by the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence and cloud computing.
In its latest policy update, Ofgem noted it is exploring the need to introduce mandatory demand reduction as a backup mechanism into its regulatory framework. The regulator believes that implementing more effective load management for large power users would give the grid greater flexibility to accommodate additional electricity demand while ensuring supply reliability.
Put simply, as AI data centers become the new "super power consumers" globally, the UK regulatory body is considering granting grid operators the authority to order data centers to temporarily reduce computing power or electricity use during extreme scenarios—alleviating grid pressure and
