Bitcoin mined an empty block at height 954,352 2 hours ago

June 19: Mempool data shows miners mined an empty Bitcoin block at height 954352—this block only contains the block reward’s Coinbase transaction, with just a 62-second gap between it and the prior block. Miners choose to mine empty blocks primarily for economic reasons, as it’s their most rational option. Goldman Sachs, Barclays, and Societe Generale have all lifted their forecasts. The latest survey, which drew responses from 16 strategists, projects the Euro Stoxx 600 Index will close at 640 points by the end of 2026 — matching its recent all-time high. However, some market sectors remain stuck below their pre-war price levels. Some survey participants note this opens up additional upside potential for the market, as investors may rebalance their holdings via sector rotation to get positioned for an economic recovery rally.
