Even after banning French accounts from conducting trades on Polymarket, accesses to the platform from French internet addresses have continued to rise, reaching 578,751 visits in June.

ASML Holding, the Dutch semiconductor giant, will issue a one-time €20,000 (approximately $22,862) bonus to all its global employees. Fueled by record-high sales driven by surging artificial intelligence (AI) demand, the company has joined a growing cohort of chip firms in sharing performance gains with staff. The firm will grant stock awards to its global workforce on January 1, 2027, provided employees remain employed throughout the vesting period, with the awards fully vested by early 2030. The move comes as the global AI boom has sent demand for ASML’s products soaring. Earlier, chipmakers including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have also awarded bonuses to their employees. As AI infrastructure investments generate massive returns, an increasing number of the most benefiting firms are facing pressure to distribute more profits to their staff. In May this year, TSMC also committed to boosting average profit sharing for its employees by over 30% this year.
