Palantir CEO: AI could multiply his wealth by 20 times while exacerbating social wealth inequality.

Palantir CEO Alex Karp recently stated that artificial intelligence (AI) could unlock massive wealth growth opportunities, but gains from the technology will be highly concentrated among a small group of tech and capital owners, further widening global wealth inequality. In an interview with the MDMeets podcast, Karp noted that AI will improve living standards for the general public, but those involved in developing and controlling AI technology could see wealth growth far outpace that of ordinary workers. He projected that AI could even multiply his own wealth roughly 20 times, pushing his net worth close to $300 billion. Karp’s current personal fortune stands at around $15 billion, driven largely by Palantir’s recent growth in AI and the company’s rising valuation. He added that middle-class incomes could double over the next decade, citing an example of a $70,000 annual salary rising to $140,000, but this would pale in comparison to the hundreds of billions in wealth gains for AI’s top beneficiaries. “There could be a total disconnect between wealth and ordinary prosperity,” Karp said, warning that AI-driven wealth concentration will become a social issue. Karp is no AI skeptic; he is a major beneficiary of the AI industry. Palantir currently has a market cap of around $322 billion, with core business areas including AI platforms, data analytics, and AI applications for government and corporate clients. In recent years, multiple tech and finance leaders have voiced similar concerns. BlackRock CEO Larry Fink noted that early AI gains are flowing primarily to owners of models, data, and infrastructure; the so-called “godfather of AI” Geoffrey Hinton has warned that the wealthy could use AI to replace labor, leading to higher unemployment and further profit concentration.

Analysis: Bitcoin's MVRV percentile drops to 5%, a level that historically typically marks the long-term bottom zone.

CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost wrote in a post that after Bitcoin (BTC) fell below $60,000 in February and entered the capitulation zone, its MVRV percentile dropped below 10%, hitting the historically defined undervalued territory. Since June, the metric has shown a similar trend again. Unlike the traditional MVRV indicator, the MVRV percentile measures the current MVRV’s position relative to historical cycles, and by incorporating a historical probability dimension, it better reflects the current market environment. Currently, BTC’s MVRV percentile stands at around 5%, meaning Bitcoin has spent roughly 95% of its historical trading time at higher MVRV levels. This indicates BTC is significantly undervalued relative to its historical evolution, and such phases have historically coincided with long-term bottom regions.

U.S. intelligence agencies’ latest assessment: Pessimistic about a new round of strikes against Iran.

US intelligence journalist John Hudson reports that U.S. intelligence agencies hold a pessimistic view of a new round of military strikes targeting Iran: current and former officials say these strikes are unlikely to have a significant impact on Iran, nor will they likely soften its negotiating stance. According to U.S. intelligence analysts, Tehran and Washington are trapped in an indefinite deadlock between war and peace—a situation deeply troubling given the increasingly lethal tit-for-tat hostilities between the two sides. Additionally, they note that intelligence assessments on issues like Iran are not designed to make specific future predictions. Instead, they are overviews of current and potential future trends, compiled from all available classified intelligence (including human intelligence and technical collection) as well as open-source information.
