The analyst projects SK Hynix’s pre-tax profit for the April-June period will exceed 100 trillion won, consisting of 6.01 trillion won in operating profit plus 4.16 trillion won in investment gains from its stake in Japanese chipmaker Kioxia held through U.S. private equity firm Bain Capital. This performance will top the company’s prior operating profit record of 5.88 trillion won set in the first quarter. He added that DRAM and NAND storage chip prices rose 30% and 49% respectively in the second quarter.
