Fortitude Mining, the independent mining platform under Digital Currency Group (DCG), has signed a procurement agreement worth approximately $45 million to purchase mining rigs and infrastructure assets in Nebraska, advancing vertical integration in its Zcash mining operations. The deal includes a $31.5 million commitment for mining rigs, plus acquisitions totaling $13.9 million in power contracts, land, buildings, and mining equipment. Fortitude’s owned and controlled data center capacity will rise to over 60 megawatts by 2026, as it accelerates its shift from partial reliance on third-party infrastructure to an operating model that controls power and data center resources. In the first quarter of 2026, Zcash contributed 61% of its mining revenue, exceeding Bitcoin’s 36%, and the company’s business focus continues to tilt toward Zcash.
