ElizaOS Founder: ai16z Token is 'Completely Dead', Related Foundation Gradually Winding Down Operations

ElizaOS founder Shaw published a statement saying the ai16z token is "completely dead", and the related foundation is gradually winding down operations. There are currently no funds available for token buybacks, nor will new funds or token supply be provided to support the market. He no longer holds any related tokens, and will not support the launch of an Eliza token in the future. Shaw stated that Burwick previously filed a lawsuit against the project; the team lacked funds for legal defense, eventually reaching a settlement with some holders and handing over the remaining treasury and funds. He added that he never sold ai16z tokens and did not profit from the project beyond a salary on par with other engineers. The team will continue developing Eliza and its underlying operating system, planning to restart operations free from the pressures of tokens, launchpads, and community price fluctuations. Intellectual property related to Eliza remains in his possession, and he will focus on localization, privacy protection, and cryptocurrency-enabled agent technology moving forward. Shaw also noted that he still recognizes blockchain technology, but is pessimistic about the current industry’s overemphasis on speculation, prediction markets, and meme coin culture. By contrast, he believes the AI community is more focused on building products.

The Founder Pirates NFTs, Pirate Nation artworks, intellectual property, and trademarks have also been released under the CC0 license. Cantor Fitzgerald: SK Hynix ADR share price could double in the next 12 months, with a target price of $300.

According to CNBC, SK Hynix has been covered by multiple Wall Street investment banks following its U.S. listing. Cantor Fitzgerald set a $300 price target for the stock, implying over 100% upside from its Monday closing price of $142.72, citing expectations that AI infrastructure construction will continue to drive demand for DRAM, NAND, and HBM. Cantor analyst C.J. Muse noted that bit demand for DRAM and NAND is likely to significantly outpace supply through at least 2029. Clients including NVIDIA and Alphabet are locking in production capacity via multi-year contracts, with some agreements covering purchase volumes, price ranges, advance payments, and default clauses—boosting the profitability and order visibility of memory chip makers. Other investment banks also hold a positive outlook on SK Hynix, with Bank of America, Stifel, and Royal Bank of Canada setting price targets of $250, $240, and $200 respectively. Royal Bank of Canada projects the firm’s operating margin will rise to 86% next year from 76% in the second quarter. Stifel cited key risks including product obsolescence due to technological iteration and over-concentration of demand among a small number of U.S. hyperscale cloud service providers. SK Hynix’s American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) began trading on a when-issued basis on the Nasdaq on July 10. According to Bank of America data, the firm raised approximately $26.5 billion by selling 178 million shares.
