Institution raises 2026 AI server shipment growth forecast to nearly 31%

Against the backdrop of surging demand for AI infrastructure, TrendForce’s latest AI server industry research shows that the total capital expenditure of the world’s nine major cloud service providers (CSPs) is projected to grow by around 90% year-on-year in 2026. Recently, hyperscale CSPs and Tier-2 data center operators have significantly increased their willingness to procure NVIDIA’s GB/VR and other containerized AI server solutions. Additionally, Google and Amazon Web Services (AWS) will start ramping up shipments of their next-generation ASIC platforms in the second half of 2026. Coupled with Chinese operators expanding their adoption of local AI solutions to meet cloud large language model (LLM) AI demands, TrendForce has revised its 2026 AI server shipment growth forecast from the original 28% to nearly 31%.
