Unitree Robotics applies for IPO today, with CITIC Securities deeply involved, and 12 securities firms are hidden in its shareholder roster.

Unitree Robotics will launch both offline and online subscription applications today. According to statistics from Unitree’s shareholder structure traced down to the third layer, at least 12 securities firms are involved. Notably, five of these securities firms, acting as limited partners (LPs), have taken a position in the hard tech track via private equity funds under CITIC Securities to indirectly invest in Unitree. As Unitree’s sponsor institution, CITIC Securities is expected to gain multiple returns from this project under its “investment + investment banking” synergy model. In addition to its early-stage equity investment, CITIC Securities is also required to make a follow-on investment in Unitree’s IPO project. According to the issuance announcement disclosed by Unitree on August 7, CSI Investment, the follow-on investment entity, was allocated 808,900 shares. Based on calculations of the above shareholding details, CITIC Securities holds at least over 4 million shares in Unitree through its alternative investment subsidiary and private equity fund subsidiary.
