Stripe’s Bridge secures Luxembourg approval to join the EU MiCA registration list

Stripe’s stablecoin infrastructure firm Bridge’s Luxembourg entity, Bridge Building, has joined the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) registration list after securing regulatory approval in Luxembourg. Per the latest update from the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), Bridge’s addition brings the total count of MiCA-authorized e-money token (EMT) issuers on the EU registration list to 42. The development follows weeks after Bridge announced on July 2 that it had obtained Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) authorization under MiCA and an e-money institution (EMI) license from Luxembourg’s financial regulator. Mai Leduc Blount, Bridge’s product lead, noted that these approvals allow EU businesses to develop stablecoin and payment products under a regulated framework.
