Trump to Meet with Crypto Mining Company Executives

According to CCTV International News, US President Donald Trump will convene executives from some of the world’s largest mining companies at the US State Department on local time August 7, aiming to take action to "ensure the supply of critical minerals for the United States and its allies". Reuters reports that the US is currently in urgent need of critical minerals to replenish its weapons stockpiles depleted during the conflict with Iran. Expected industry giants to attend include global mining leader Rio Tinto, Australia’s BHP Group, US-based Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold, US’s Mountain Pass Materials, US Rare Earths, US Energy Fuels, and Canada Metal Company, among others. According to sources, the Trump administration plans to announce multiple transactions and memoranda of understanding (MOUs).
