Hyperliquid has announced that its new fee structure and staking tiers will go live on May 5th.

On April 29th, Hyperliquid's official announcement indicated that the new fee system and staking tier would become operational approximately at 03:00 on May 5th (UTC). The alterations comprise: 1. Staking HYPE can lead to a decrease in transaction fees; 2. Perpetual contracts and spot will have distinct fee criteria; 3. The spot trading volume will be counted twice when determining the fee tier. The staking and trading account binding feature is currently active on the testnet. This enables users to apply the staking discount of one account to another trading account. It is anticipated that this feature will become operational shortly after the launch of the new fee system and staking tier.
