Ethereum Foundation Launches "Trillion Dollar" Security Plan

2025.05.14 20:32:20

On May 14th, the Ethereum Foundation announced the commencement of the "Trillion-Dollar" Security Initiative. This plan encompasses the entire ecosystem and is aimed at upgrading Ethereum's security to facilitate the world's transition towards a blockchain-based future. The plan consists of three components: "Full-Stack Security Map Drawing," "Key Domain Breakthroughs," and "Security Awareness Upgrade." The "Trillion-Dollar" mentioned in this plan refers to the billions of individuals who are willing to store assets worth more than $1000 on-chain, resulting in trillions of dollars being stored on Ethereum. Companies, institutions, or governments can easily store value worth more than $1 trillion in a single contract or application. The entire plan is co-chaired by Fredrik Svantes (Protocol Security Lead) and Josh Stark (EF Management Team). The founder of the Security Alliance SEAL and Paradigm security advisor samczsun, the co-founder of Sigma Prime Mehdi Zerouali, and the co-founder of Etherealize Zach Obront serve as advisors to the project.
