On May 18th, as per Cointelegraph, market analysts hold the view that Ethereum's recent decline is a technical pullback intended to retest key support levels before resuming its upward movement towards $3,000 and beyond. Cryptocurrency analyst Titan of Crypto stated that the weekly Stochastic RSI currently stands at 79, suggesting that ETH "still has the impetus to keep moving upwards." Analyst Chimp of the North proposed that the downside potential of Ethereum may be restricted to $2,400. He mentioned that Ethereum may undergo further pullback to retest the support at $2,400 before ascending again towards the target range of $3,000 to $3,300.

Runway rolls out Solaris as an operating system, enabling real-time generation of computer interfaces.

Beating AI Express News: Runway has unveiled Project Continuum, its operating system research project that expands Solaris’ real-time content generation interface to cover full computer interactions. Solaris previously demonstrated how AI generates app interfaces frame-by-frame, while Continuum has extended this approach to use cases including web browsing, agent invocation, and 3D interaction. When users browse web pages, they can directly convert the content into interactive 3D scenes. Corresponding visual interfaces are also generated in real time as AI agents execute tasks. The interfaces change dynamically based on current content and tasks, eliminating the need to pre-design every possible state. Unlike traditional software where most interfaces are pre-defined by developers, Continuum aims to convert some of these static interfaces to real-time generation, enabling computers to temporarily create the most suitable pages and interaction methods based on users’ current activities. Project Continuum remains a research prototype, and Runway has not yet announced an open access or launch timeline.

The U.S. state of Illinois has delayed the implementation of its crypto asset transaction tax by six months, with the originally planned tax rate being 0.2%.

Following a lawsuit filed by a crypto industry group, Illinois officials have agreed to delay the implementation of its digital asset tax by six months, pushing the effective date from January 1, 2027 to July 1, 2027. The tax is levied at a rate of 0.2% on the value of digital asset-related transactions. Earlier, the Digital Chamber sued Illinois officials, alleging the tax provision was added to the state budget without sufficient debate or public comment. The two sides have reached a delay agreement to allow the court time to adjudicate the associated legal disputes, though the postponement does not mean the tax has been abolished.

NEAR Intents announced it has identified the hacker’s identity and issued a 48-hour ultimatum for the hacker to return the funds.

NEAR Intents has identified the individual responsible for the security vulnerability that caused roughly $3.8 million in user fund losses on Thursday, and has given the person a 48-hour deadline to return the funds under the "responsible disclosure" framework. Alex Shevchenko, general manager of NEAR Intents, stated: "We have confirmed your identity." The company also released three distinct wallet addresses to receive Bitcoin, BNB, and Solana. "You understand how responsible disclosure works better than most — this is your final opportunity to take advantage of this mechanism. The window will close after 48 hours," Shevchenko added. On Thursday, NEAR Intents suspended its related services after detecting a vulnerability in the interaction between the Omni deposit and withdrawal infrastructure and NEAR Intents smart contracts.
