On May 19th, according to Blue Whale News, Procolored, a printer company based in Shenzhen, China, was discovered to have provided official drivers with a backdoor that was used to steal cryptocurrency. The data indicates that hackers managed to steal a total of 9.3 Bitcoins.
The infection took place because Procolored utilized USB drives to transfer these drivers. Once infected with the backdoor, Procolored then uploaded them to a cloud drive for users worldwide to download.
