Whale Whisperer James Wynn: If Bitcoin Tops Out Around $118k-$122k, Market Will Enter Cooling-off Phase of Sideways Trading

2025.05.23 09:48:20

On May 23rd. Whale James Wynn announced this morning via social media that he has decreased his Bitcoin long position and taken some profits within the range of approximately $110,000 to $111,000. This price level seems to be a favorable profit-taking point, and it appears that others are also taking similar actions. In his opinion, Bitcoin is keen to break out to the upside. The target remains the same - to reach $115,000 to $118,000 by the end of next week, and it might even be achieved in a few hours (which was already reached this morning). He holds the belief that once Bitcoin reaches a peak around $118,000 to $122,000, there will be a temporary cooling-off period and consolidation, with the real excitement to come thereafter.

Stripe announced that Henri Stern, CEO and co-founder of crypto wallet infrastructure company Privy, has taken on additional responsibilities to oversee Stripe’s stablecoin and crypto operations. Privy was acquired by Stripe last year. Stern noted that Stripe’s strategy is to integrate stablecoins into its existing infrastructure, rather than building a separate, standalone crypto payment system.

SpaceX (SPCX) breaks through $165, notching a new high since its early August low.

According to data from BIT (bit.com), SpaceX (SPCX) rose 4.17% intraday, breaking through $165 to currently trade at $165.38, marking a new high since hitting its bottom on August 3. BlockBeats previously reported that Morgan Stanley reaffirmed its "overweight" rating on SpaceX, setting a $300 target price, and noted the stock looks "very cheap" when factoring in its growth prospects. Analyst Adam Jonas stated that on a growth-adjusted basis, SpaceX’s trading valuation is roughly 40% lower than that of large-cap AI peers. Potential catalysts include the upcoming Starship flight, third-quarter financial results, Grok launch, and additional Neocloud deals, with a successful Starship capture likely being the largest catalyst since SpaceX’s IPO.
