According to market sources, Saudi Arabia’s east-west oil pipeline has suspended operations after another attack.

Saudi Aramco’s CEO has stated that global oil inventories stood at nearly 10 billion barrels when the crisis broke out, with nearly 3 billion barrels of crude oil supply lost so far—equivalent to roughly half of the total crude oil and petroleum products that originally transited through the Strait of Hormuz. Over 1 billion barrels of inventories have been released to ease supply losses, most of which came from onshore commercial inventories, which he described as the “last major tool.” Commercial inventories have now dropped to less than 6 billion barrels, with the vast majority effectively unavailable for use.

According to Bitget market data, both US WTI and Brent crude oil fell 2.00% intraday, currently trading at $88.50 per barrel and $99.79 per barrel respectively.

Nvidia partner Foxconn has reported better-than-expected quarterly revenue, showing global artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure spending remains at high levels. Foxconn’s revenue for the three months ending in September reached NT$3.03 trillion (US$95.4 billion), rising 47% year-over-year, exceeding the average analyst forecast of NT$2.83 trillion. The tech giant’s robust sales growth, following Micron Technology’s upbeat earnings outlook released last week, further confirms that capital expenditure in the AI sector continues to expand. Meanwhile, top executives including OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei have recently called for slowing the development of emerging AI technologies to ensure they remain under human control. As Nvidia’s server assembly partner, Foxconn has benefited from global cloud infrastructure buildout over the past two years. Against a backdrop of growing investor concerns over overcapacity, rising debt levels, and regulatory headwinds, Foxconn’s sales performance is also seen as a key gauge of the AI industry’s momentum. The company’s stock has risen roughly 10% so far this year.

CryptoQuant analyst Axel Adler Jr. noted that as of October 4, Bitcoin holdings of short-term holders increased by 87,000 coins over the past 30 days to 3.94 million, marking the seventh consecutive week this metric has outpaced the prior month’s level. The indicator has remained positive since August 18, signaling a rise in Bitcoin supply that has changed hands over the past six months. Currently, short-term Bitcoin holders have an average cost basis of roughly $74,100, with an overall unrealized profit of around 15%—nearly unchanged from a week ago, but below the September 22 phase high of 19%. Meanwhile, their average cost has climbed by approximately $1,000 week-over-week, indicating that as Bitcoin’s price rises, the entry cost for short-term holders is also increasing. The $74,100 level is a key threshold to monitor now. If Bitcoin drops below this level, short-term holders as a whole will flip into unrealized losses; if the 30-day holding change also turns negative, it means this group’s position size is starting to shrink, which could further erode market structure.
