French President: Strongly Opposes Decision to Impose Tariffs on the United States

Before this statement, the European Commission had carried out intensive negotiations with the United States in the past few weeks, and during this period, they put forward sincere and substantial proposals. This specifically means that if an agreement cannot be reached by August 1st, credible countermeasures must be quickly prepared and all available means should be mobilized, including the "anti-coercion tool".
