The amount of ETH queued for exiting the Ethereum PoS network has decreased for 3 consecutive days, with the current value being approximately 17.85 billion USD worth of ETH in the exit queue.

2025.08.05 11:40:24

On August 5th, based on the data from the Validator Queue tracking website validatorqueue, the current exit queue on the Ethereum PoS network is temporarily reported to be 488,686 ETH, which is approximately worth $17.85 billion. The amount of queued ETH has been continuously decreasing for 3 days, and the waiting time for exit is approximately 8 days and 12 hours. At the same time, the amount of ETH queued to join the network is approximately 125,718 ETH, worth approximately $4.59 billion, with an expected activation delay of about 2 days and 4 hours. Earlier reports have shown that this situation reflects two opposing forces in the market. On the one hand, some stakers may have decided to cash out after Ethereum rebounded by more than 160% from its April low, resulting in a surge in the exit queue. On the other hand, new inflows of funds, mainly driven by regulatory tailwinds and institutional demand, are also boosting the entry queue. This is evident in publicly traded companies such as SharpLink Gaming and BitMine Immersion increasing their ETH holdings and engaging in staking.

Brazilian Bitcoin treasury firm OranjeBTC will launch a Bitcoin ecosystem preferred stock ETF, expected to list in September.

Brazilian Bitcoin treasury firm OranjeBTC (B3: OBTC3) has announced the launch of the Digital Yield ETF (DIGY11), a collaboration between OranjeBTC, 3R Investimentos and MarketVector, set to list on Brazil’s B3 stock exchange in early September. DIGY11 will initially invest in preferred shares issued by Strategy via STRC and Strive via SATA, distribute monthly returns to investors in Brazilian reais, and offer daily liquidity plus currency hedging. Under current market conditions, the ETF is projected to deliver an annualized distribution yield of roughly 3% to 5% above the CDI, though this estimate excludes fund unit price volatility and does not constitute a return guarantee. Notably, the ETF does not directly invest in Bitcoin; instead, it holds preferred shares linked to Bitcoin treasury firms, providing Brazilian investors with a local channel to access dollar-denominated returns and exposure to Bitcoin ecosystem assets.

A user mistakenly paid 1.6 BTC in transaction fees, with approximately $103,000 in total funds going entirely to miners.

A user encountered an anomaly in their Replace-by-Fee (RBF) script that automatically increases transaction fees, leading to a Bitcoin transaction where they paid 1.60 BTC (valued at ~$102,800) in network fees while sending zero BTC to the recipient. The transaction was included in Bitcoin block 962142 on August 12. On-chain records show the transaction had one single input totaling 160,343,885 satoshis, all of which were paid to miners as fees, with zero output amount. The root cause is that the user’s automated script, which raised RBF fees every second, lacked a reasonable fee cap, causing the fees to gradually eat up the entire input sum. The block was mined by SpiderPool, and this transaction accounted for 88% of the block’s total fees of approximately 1.82 BTC.
