Last week, the digital asset sector saw a net inflow of $572 million, with Ethereum ETP leading the market.

2025.08.11 17:48:28

On August 11th, as per the latest weekly report from CoinShares, digital asset investment products witnessed inflows during the previous week, reaching a total of $572 million. Earlier this week, there were outflows of $1 billion, which might have been driven by growth concerns following the soft US employment data. However, in the latter part of the week, inflows reached $1.57 billion, possibly due to the US government's announcement permitting the use of digital assets in 401(k) retirement plans. The trading volume for digital asset ETPs decreased by 23% compared to the previous week, probably because of the subdued summer trading activity. Regionally, inflows in the US and Canada were $608 million and $16.5 million respectively, while Europe continued to experience outflows, with Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland having a total of $54.3 million in outflows. Ethereum ETP took the lead in the market, attracting $268 million in inflows and becoming the highest among all assets. This led to the year-to-date inflow reaching a new high of $8.2 billion. With the recent price increases, its managed assets also reached a record high of $32.6 billion, representing an 82% increase year-to-date. Bitcoin saw a rebound after two consecutive weeks of outflows, with total inflows of $260 million last week, while the shorting of Bitcoin saw outflows of $4 million. Solana, XRP, and Near witnessed inflows of $21.8 million, $18.4 million, and $10.1 million respectively.

Runway Trains Robots Using Internet Videos, Performance Nearly Matches That From Professional Datasets

Insight Beating AI News Flash: Runway has released the robot model Praxis-1, applying the expertise from training AI video models to real-world robots. It first learns how objects move and how humans perform tasks from a large number of regular videos, then translates that knowledge into robot movements. Runway conducted an object placement test: after pre-training with internet videos, the robot’s average error was 16.1 cm; when using custom-collected teleoperation videos of robots, the error was 16.0 cm. The test covered 93 evaluation sets, with results nearly identical across the two training approaches. If this line of work can be scaled, the data gap plaguing robot training could expand by several orders of magnitude. Collecting data via human-operated robot teleoperation requires specialized equipment, space, and labor, while regular videos are already abundant online. Runway aims to repurpose these videos—originally not intended for robot control—into training materials for robots to master movements. Praxis-1 has been tested on multiple robot models from Noble Machines, Standard Bots, and Ultra, including robotic arms, dual-arm robots, and mobile robots. Runway also showcased that the same strategy can adapt from a studio setting to a kitchen to complete tasks. The model is currently only accepting early test applications; its weights are set to be released in the coming months, with parameter size and more comprehensive independent evaluations still undisclosed.
