This implies that even if the Federal Reserve does not raise interest rates in September, the U.S. government’s long-term financing costs may not decline. Analysts note that this situation signals the core contradiction in the current U.S. interest rate market: policy rates are determined by the Fed, but long-term borrowing costs are increasingly driven by a combination of fiscal factors, inflation, oil prices, and investor risk appetite.

According to Bitget market data, the Nikkei 225 index closed up 784.53 points on Thursday, August 13, a 1.16% gain, to 68,308.59 points. South Korea’s KOSPI index closed up 210.97 points on the same day, a 3.21% rise, ending at 6,790.01 points. SK Hynix rose 5.9% and Samsung Electronics gained 3.9%.

The three major A-share indices pulled back in the afternoon session, with the Shanghai Composite Index and Shenzhen Component Index turning negative, while the ChiNext Index’s gains narrowed to 0.58%.
