Avalanche Teams Up with Polmo to Launch Tokenized Whisky, Purchasing the Premium Edition Grants an Invitation to Meet Ava Labs Founder Emin Gün Sirer

August 18th, as per official information, Bowmore, a renowned Scottish distillery, announced today a partnership with the decentralized open-source Layer1 platform Avalanche to launch the very first on-chain whisky NFT series. This series is scheduled to be officially released on September 30, 2025, during the TOKEN2049 conference in Singapore, and pre-sales will commence from today. By leveraging the Avalanche C chain, each uniquely numbered bottle of whisky will give rise to a corresponding NFT, facilitating the seamless amalgamation of physical rare whisky with digital certificates. The inaugural series encompasses: · Collector's Edition ($5,500): Limited to 8 sets, comprising a 30-year-old Bowmore whisky and custom glassware. Buyers will receive an invitation to meet Ava Labs founder Emin Gün Sirer. · Classic Edition ($180): Limited to 150 bottles of 12-year-old Bowmore, offering an entry-level choice for collectors. Each bottle is equipped with an NFC chip to authenticate its authenticity and link it to an on-chain NFT. Buyers can claim their NFT through the Suntory website (which supports both crypto wallets and traditional email login) and redeem the physical bottle at the TOKEN2049 event. On September 30, 2025, Bowmore and Avalanche will host a dinner at the Wakuda restaurant in Singapore, and 8 holders of the 30-year-old NFT will be invited.

His departure comes as OpenAI continues to expand its commercialization efforts, advance enterprise business and strategic partnerships. The company has previously implemented multiple rounds of organizational restructuring, including transferring some COO responsibilities to other executives. Brad Lightcap joined OpenAI in 2018, and prior to that held roles at Y Combinator and JPMorgan Chase. He was one of the key operations and business leaders during OpenAI’s transition from a research institute to a commercial AI company.
