August 28th. As per Bloomberg, Ashley Alder, the Executive Director of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) in Hong Kong, and Legislative Councilor Wu Chi-wai have been excluded from the guest list of the Bitcoin Asia Summit set to take place from August 28th to 29th. The previously archived page indicated that they were initially scheduled to be speakers but decided to withdraw after being advised against interacting with Eric Trump. Eric Trump, the son of former US President Donald Trump, is one of the speakers at the event. He currently serves as the Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization and is involved in multiple US crypto projects. The SFC responded that Alder could not attend due to a business trip, while Wu Chi-wai stated that he had to cancel his trip due to family reasons. Furthermore, according to the South China Morning Post, informed sources reported that both individuals withdrew because they were instructed not to interact with Eric Trump, the son of former President Donald Trump. The summit is scheduled from August 28th to 29th, with Eric Trump listed as a keynote speaker in his capacity as the Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization. An expert with connections to Beijing suggested that this instruction was to avoid "collaboration or flattery with Trump."
