On February 9th, as per Bloomberg, a growing number of cryptocurrency companies are actively seeking lobbyists with good connections or policy experts in order to enhance their influence in Washington and remain engaged with the newly digital asset-friendly government. Sources privy to the matter disclosed that cryptocurrency companies that have recently shown interest in hiring lobbyists or policy experts include Uniswap, IOHK, Kraken, Jump Trading, and the Solana Foundation. Many cryptocurrency firms are seeking candidates who can utilize their relationships with both the Trump administration and lawmakers on Capitol Hill. The leading Bitcoin mining firm Riot Blockchain Inc. is recruiting a Director of Public Policy and a Manager who will operate under the leadership of the company's current Washington Director of Public Policy, Brian Morgenstern. The cryptocurrency startup Ondo Finance is in the process of recruiting for its first policy position. The Chief Policy Officer role at Ondo Finance involves responsibilities such as "constructing and maintaining relationships with government regulatory bodies, including the regulatory agencies of the SEC, CFTC, and the Treasury Department."
