On February 19th, Aleš Michl, the Governor of the Czech National Bank, posted on social media and stated that if investors plan to invest in crypto assets, they should be extremely cautious. He pointed out that this market is still in its initial stage and will encounter certain fluctuations. He advised investors to only invest in assets that they understand and are willing to bear the risk of a total loss. However, Bitcoin is a different matter. It should not be mixed up with other crypto assets. Central banks should conduct research on it and explore the technology behind it. Studying Bitcoin will not do us any harm - on the contrary, it will make us stronger. Bitcoin is highly volatile and may move towards two extreme directions in the future: either becoming worthless or attaining extremely high value. Bitcoin is also a high-risk asset that is suitable for professional investors who understand all the risks.
