Feb. 3 (Reuters) — Grayscale said Wednesday its CoinDesk Crypto 5 ETF will add BNB to its holdings, per official sources. The exchange-traded fund trades on the New York Stock Exchange Arca under ticker symbol GDLC and currently includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, SOL and XRP. It was formerly known as the Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund.

February 3 – Per The Block, the Avalanche Policy Alliance announced Tuesday the formation of a new advisory council led by Ava Labs General Counsel Lee Schneider. Other members include UK House of Lords member Chris Holmes and several Avalanche ecosystem executives. The council will focus on three core priorities by 2026: token taxonomy, defining intermediaries, and safeguarding global internet access. In addition to Schneider and Holmes, members include Avalanche Treasury Co. CEO Bart Smith, COO Laine Litman, and Avax One Technology CEO Jolie Kahn.

Lukas Schor, Safe project co-founder and president of the Safe Ecosystem Foundation, wrote: “Safe is one of the industry’s very few projects to demonstrate long-term sustainable adoption and meaningful revenue—without relying on token subsidies or purely speculative use cases.” The announcement also revealed that in 2025, Safe handled $6 trillion in transaction volume, representing 43% of the total volume since the protocol launched. Cumulatively, the network has processed 326 million transactions to date. The nonprofit noted that while the project is “not yet profitable,” it aims to “hit break-even in 2026 and double its revenue” — part of a longer-term goal to reach $100 million in recurring annual revenue by 2030.

Cipher Mining Inc. plans to raise $2 billion through the U.S. high-yield bond market to fund data center construction tied to Amazon, Bloomberg reported Feb. 3. The company said it will issue privately placed bonds maturing in 2031 to cover remaining construction costs for its Black Pearl mining data center in Wink, Texas.
