**April 15 –** EmberCN monitoring data shows Tether’s Bitcoin (BTC) reserve address withdrew 951 BTC (valued at $70.47 million) from Bitfinex 15 minutes ago. The withdrawn tokens are reportedly among those Tether purchased in the first quarter of this year. Tether has accumulated BTC in this address since 2023 using 15% of its quarterly profits, and typically moves holdings from Bitfinex a few days after each quarter concludes. The address currently holds 97,141 BTC (worth ~$7.2 billion) — ranking as the fifth-largest Bitcoin wallet globally. Based on the withdrawal price from Bitfinex, the average purchase cost for these BTC is approximately $51,312, resulting in an unrealized gain of roughly $2.175 billion as of now.
