21Shares Chief Strategist: The U.S. Can Increase Reserves Through 'Bitcoin Seized from Criminal Proceeds' and 'Bitcoin Acquired Through Fines'

On March 7th, as per Eliezer Ndinga, the Head of Strategy at 21Shares, who announced on social media that he thinks the U.S. government has two approaches to augment its Bitcoin reserves. The initial one is by confiscating Bitcoin acquired through criminal undertakings, like the 174,000 bitcoins in the Silk Road case, and this wouldn't necessitate additional outlays. The second is to utilize the fines collected by cryptocurrency enforcement agencies (such as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission/Commodity Futures Trading Commission) to purchase Bitcoin.
