Photographic Memory「Eidetic Memory」 Helps Thief Steal 107 Bitcoins, Chinese Man Sentenced to Ten Years and Nine Months for Theft

June 8 — The Supreme People’s Procuratorate exposed a novel cryptocurrency theft case yesterday. A man identified as Zhang from Shandong Province had been assisting his acquaintance Feng with cryptocurrency transactions for some time. After gaining Feng’s trust, Zhang took the initiative to suggest Feng switch to a more user-friendly digital wallet. The wallet’s asset mnemonic—its core security key—was generated by the system randomly selecting 12 terms from a set of 2048 common English words, acting as the critical password protecting the crypto assets. Seizing his opportunity while Feng was transcribing the mnemonic, Zhang relied solely on his naked eye and exceptional memory to memorize 11 full words, plus the first letter of the final term. That night, using this partial memory, he repeatedly tested and combined possible sequences to crack the code, successfully unlocking Feng’s digital wallet, transferring 107 bitcoins, and later selling the coins for an illegal profit of 660,000 yuan. The court ultimately convicted Zhang of theft, sentencing him to 10 years and 9 months in prison plus a 100,000 yuan fine.

Iran Shows No Signs of Slowing Down, Fires Missiles at Israel in 'Gradual Escalation'

Red alerts have been activated across northern Israel, covering major cities including Tel Aviv, Haifa, Nazareth, Tiberias, Acre, and Safed. The frequency of the attacks suggests Iran is deliberately adopting a "gradual pressure" tactic: either to retaliate directly or to create maximum chaos in Israel while gradually depleting the country’s stockpile of interception missiles.

SpaceX Megabucks IPO Draining US Stock Market Liquidity? Analysis Shows False Alarm, Actual Index Fund Buying Pressure Only $300 Billion

### U.S. Stock Market Faces Liquidity Fears From Trillion-Dollar Upcoming Tech IPOs, With Index Rules Seen As Crash Protection Per monitoring by Watchful AI, the U.S. stock market is grappling with severe liquidity drain anxiety as massive upcoming IPOs from giants like SpaceX, Anthropic, and OpenAI—carrying a combined valuation exceeding $4 trillion—approach. Addressing these concerns, Rob Arnott, chairman of RAFI Index Company, wrote that core index rules will act as a critical "firewall" to prevent a market collapse driven by inflows from passive funds. In extreme stress tests, Arnott explained: If SpaceX goes public at a $2 trillion valuation and offers just 4% of its shares to the public (valued at $800 billion), including SpaceX in major indices immediately via market cap weight would force $18 trillion in index-tracking funds to buy over $500 billion worth of shares—more than the total available for sale.
