Goldman Sachs will acquire ETF issuer Neos Investments for up to $2.25 billion through cash and equity transactions. Neos operates nearly 24 options-based income ETFs with around $32 billion in assets under management (AUM); upon deal closure, Goldman Sachs’ ETF AUM is projected to increase to approximately $130 billion. Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas noted that the acquisition will give Goldman Sachs access to Neos’ roughly $1 billion Bitcoin Premium Income ETF (BTCI). The fund generates returns via Bitcoin-related assets and option strategies, boasting a distribution yield of around 27% and the ability to capture most of Bitcoin’s upside gains.
