Prediction market platform Novig files a lawsuit against the state of Wisconsin, arguing that sports contracts should fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the CFTC.

Sports event prediction market platform Novig has filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, with state Attorney General Josh Kaul named as the defendant. Back in April, Wisconsin sued platforms including Kalshi, Polymarket, Robinhood, Crypto.com and Coinbase, accusing their sports event contracts of violating state bans and constituting a "public nuisance". Anticipating it would soon be sued as well, Novig opted to take preemptive action. Legally, Novig asserts that its sports contracts qualify as swaps under the Commodity Exchange Act and should fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the CFTC.

Alphabet is considering issuing its first Australian dollar-denominated bond, with debt financing emerging as a core funding source for its AI infrastructure expansion.

According to Bloomberg, Alphabet, Google’s parent company, has hired banks to arrange its potential debut Australian dollar bond issuance. One of the appointed banks, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ), confirmed via email that the offering could span four tenors, with the longest term hitting 20 years. This marks another move by U.S. tech firms flooding into credit markets to raise funds for AI investments. Earlier this month, Alphabet already issued $25 billion in U.S. dollar bonds and raised nearly $85 billion through equity financing. Coupled with the upcoming Australian dollar bond plan, its financing channels for AI capital expenditures are rapidly expanding from the U.S. dollar market to a global multi-currency landscape. Morgan Stanley previously projected that global AI-related bond issuance will reach nearly $570 billion in 2026, more than doubling from last year, with Alphabet standing as one of the most aggressive issuers in this space. As capital spending by large-scale cloud providers continues to climb, debt financing has become a core funding source supporting the expansion of AI infrastructure.

Serenity: General-purpose robots should adapt to the world humans have built, and Tesla Optimus will eventually converge to the "correct form".

Serenity discussed the topic "Why Robots Must Be Humanoid", citing Elon Musk’s perspective as the core answer: "Robots don’t necessarily have to be humanoid, but general-purpose robots intended to replace human labor should adapt to the world environment already built by humans." The essence of this logic lies in the fact that doors, stairs, tools and spaces in the human world are all designed for the human body. A humanoid form for general-purpose robots enables them to seamlessly integrate with existing infrastructure, eliminating the need to reconstruct the environment for every new robot design. Serenity also explicitly expects Tesla’s humanoid robot project Optimus will eventually converge to the "correct form". The humanoid design of general-purpose robots is not an aesthetic choice, but an engineering rationality that maximizes environmental compatibility and task versatility.
