Harmony has announced a rollback plan: it will revert to the state at 23:25:37 on August 11, with all subsequent blocks and transactions to be discarded.
Harmony Protocol has unveiled a rollback plan for its abnormal ONE token minting incident, with Shard 0 set to roll back to block 92,730,034 and Shard 1 to block 94,978,278. Both blocks correspond to August 11, 2026, at 23:25:37 UTC. Validators will use replacement databases from these blocks, and subsequent blocks will be regenerated at heights 92,730,035 and 94,978,279 respectively.
The first confirmed fraudulent mint occurred in Shard 0 at block 92,730,036, so the prior block was chosen as a safety buffer. After evaluating options including targeted burning, blacklisting, selective transaction replay, token migration, and direct database rollback, the team ruled these out as they could impact unrelated funds or cause chain state inconsistencies, leading to the final choice of a fixed rollback window.
Harmony disclosed that one fraudulent mint wallet attempted 534 transfers of 5 billion ONE each within 106 seconds, with 477 successful transfers totaling 2.385 trillion ONE. The team noted that while fund flow tracking covers over 99.9% of fraudulent ONE paths, tracing to wallets or clusters does not confirm specific individual identities nor guarantee all related funds can be safely burned.
Additionally, Harmony has completed full archiving of Shard 0 from blocks 92,730,035 to 92,871,662, covering 141,628 consecutive blocks, 109,126 regular transactions, and 315 staking transactions. All blocks and regular transactions after the rollback checkpoint will be discarded. The project is currently collaborating with exchanges, cross-chain bridges, and law enforcement to assess impacts and develop solutions.
An independent third-party security firm has reviewed the incident, confirming the fraudulent mint and identifying main fund flows. Validators must execute rollback operations per the official recovery process.

According to EmberCN’s monitoring, based on associated addresses, AKE, which has posted a 52x rally over the past month, is suspected to be operated by the same market maker that previously manipulated SIREN. AKE plunged roughly 60% in early July; after a massive exit of bullish funds, it rallied 52x in the subsequent month. The related addresses were previously used to manipulate SIREN, and were also utilized today to transfer XPIN to Binance Alpha.
