U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs saw a combined net inflow of $2.6 billion this week, marking the highest level since October 2025. Of that total, spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in $1.9 billion, while spot Ethereum ETFs took in $697.2 million. Both products recorded their largest weekly net inflows since 2026. This reversed the combined net outflow of $392 million from the prior week, representing a weekly fund swing of roughly $3 billion. Combined trading volume for the two ETFs rose to $29 billion, more than tripling from the previous week. Spot Bitcoin ETFs’ weekly trading volume surged from $6.9 billion to $22.1 billion, a jump of over 219%, while their combined net asset value (NAV) increased from $76.6 billion to $96.1 billion. Standard Chartered Global Head of Digital Assets Research Geoff Kendrick stated that Bitcoin could approach its all-time high of $126,000 by the end of the year, with the related recovery likely to accelerate after October 6. "For the first time this year, there’s a risk that my end-of-year forecast of $100,000 might be too low," he said. Kendrick noted that the recent rally is mainly driven by short squeezes, while inflows into Bitcoin spot ETFs have also started to recover. Current open interest is low, which may leave room for more investors to re-enter the market amid rising prices. In February this year, Kendrick cut Standard Charter’s year-end Bitcoin target from $150,000 to $100,000, and lowered Ethereum’s target from $7,500 to $4,000. At that time, he had projected Bitcoin would fall to around $50,000 and Ethereum to roughly $1,400 before rebounding over the rest of the year.
