HertzFlow mainnet transactions have officially launched, with an additional 390,000 WLFI tokens allocated as liquidity rewards.

Perpetual contract protocol HertzFlow, backed by YZi Labs, has officially launched mainnet trading. Users can trade, provide liquidity (LP), and refer friends to earn Merit points. The earlier Genesis Vault pre-deposit campaign has concluded, with early participants (Genesis early birds) receiving 230,000 WLFI tokens as allocation. The project has now added an extra 390,000 WLFI tokens as liquidity incentives to the USD1 Vault. The campaign runs until August 31, has no cap, and is open to all users. Eligible users (those who participated in the pre-deposit or were active on the testnet) can access the mainnet directly, while new users require an invitation code. It currently supports BTC, ETH, and BNB trading pairs, with more markets to be expanded in the future. According to the introduction, HertzFlow aims to build a permissionless leveraged trading market for oracle-backed assets, and further activate on-chain liquidity on BNB Chain via composable DeFi strategies, converting more on-chain funds into yield-generating liquidity assets.

Arthur Hayes details how to claim the airdrop for his personal newly launched project Flop Network

Arthur Hayes has shared a four-step detailed airdrop guide for his new venture Flop Network. The steps are: 1) Generate an Ed25519 DID key pair for the AI agent, formatted as did:key:z6Mk..., which will serve as the agent’s on-chain identity and future airdrop receiving address; 2) Publish the public key to the Technocore Registry to let the network recognize the identity; 3) The agent signs a check-in message with the private key and sends an HTTP GET request to /lobby; 4) Securely store the private key locally to claim the airdrop allocation during the Q4 snapshot. Earlier on the 19th, Hayes announced in a post that he would end his retirement to lead Flop Labs and launch the FLOP token. He stated that FLOP will act as "food for AI agents", with no presale or VC involvement, adopting a 100% fair launch model to build a currency for the Agentic Economy. More project details will be revealed later, with a large-scale airdrop expected in Q4 2026.

Kinetiq is set to launch its new Hyperliquid Layer 2 (L2) network, Elysium, with HYPE as the native gas token.

Hyperliquid ecosystem project Kinetiq has announced the launch of Elysium, a new Hyperliquid L2 network designed to address key pain points including HyperEVM’s performance bottlenecks and the complexity of its dual-block architecture. Elysium will use HYPE as its native gas token, enabling seamless integration with HyperCore and HyperEVM. Deployed in close synergy with the Hyperliquid mainnet, Elysium’s initial block production performance is projected to far outpace HyperEVM levels. The network will support token issuance: projects can launch starting with a long-tail asset AMM, then gradually integrate Elysium’s PropAMM, HyperCore spot order book, and qualify for perpetual contract listings via HIP-3. For its economic model, 25% of Elysium sequencer fees will be allocated to application builders that consume block space, 25% will go to the Kinetiq treasury, and 50% will be used for programmatic purchases of KNTQ tokens on the open market. All purchased KNTQ tokens will be burned and transferred to the Hyperliquid Aid Fund.

Trump raises tariffs on Canadian cars and steel to 50%

US President Donald Trump will raise tariffs on Canadian automobiles and steel to 50%. In a post, Trump claimed that Canada has been taking advantage of the United States for years. He noted that Canada imposes exorbitantly high tariffs on American farmers and agricultural products, making it difficult for these "great American patriots" to make a living, and has long maintained a $60 billion trade deficit between the two nations. "This situation is unsustainable and will not continue!" he wrote. Starting January 1, 2027, tariffs will be increased to 50% on all cars, trucks (both large and small), auto parts, and steel. Goods produced in the U.S. will not be subject to tariffs at all. "Canada will no longer be treated as a state!" he added. "Whether in trade or other areas, Canada is one of the most difficult countries in the world to deal with. They think they deserve special treatment as a matter of course, but the truth is, we don't need Canada—they need us! 95% of Canada's business is conducted with the U.S., while our situation with Canada is the exact opposite!"
