Bitdeer and Soluna Strike 28MW Joint Mining Partnership

Bitdeer subsidiary Dory Creek will deploy its Sealminer A2 Pro Air mining rigs at Soluna’s Project Kati 1, a wind-powered data center in Willacy County, Texas, U.S., starting September 2026. The deployment is expected to connect to 28MW of power and deliver approximately 1.93 EH/s of Bitcoin mining hashrate. The partnership uses a revenue-sharing model: Soluna is responsible for the site, power supply, and daily operations, while Bitdeer supplies and owns the mining rigs, with both parties splitting the Bitcoin revenue generated by this portion of the equipment. Project Kati 1 has a total capacity of 83MW, and Galaxy Digital is currently utilizing 48MW of its capacity for Bitcoin mining.

At least 14 senior OpenAI executives have departed this year, with major leadership reshuffles continuing ahead of its IPO.

Beating AI News Flash: At least 14 senior executives have left OpenAI so far this year. As of August 21, Business Insider had counted 13 senior managers and key leaders. The Wall Street Journal recently revealed that data center head Chris Malone resigned last week. Malone joined OpenAI in March 2025 and was primarily responsible for the company’s data center expansion. The departing staff cover roles across business, product, security, ethics, research, and infrastructure, including former COO Brad Lightcap, application business head Fidji Simo, Chief Revenue Officer Denise Dresser, former CMO Kate Rouch, former CPO Kevin Weil, and security systems head Johannes Heidecke, among others. The reasons for their departures vary: Lightcap is preparing to launch a startup, some left due to health issues, others were affected by departmental restructuring or project shutdowns. Hardware head Caitlin Kalinowski resigned over dissatisfaction with OpenAI’s collaboration with the U.S. Pentagon. Some insiders frame this round of adjustments as a proactive management overhaul. OpenAI secretly submitted its U.S. IPO filing in June; consecutive leadership changes in business, security, research, and infrastructure clearly indicate that its organizational stability ahead of the IPO lags behind that of rival Anthropic.
