Hyperliquid is planning to introduce Staking Tiers on April 30th, where the transaction fee will be determined based on the amount of HYPE staked.

March 19th. As per official channels, Hyperliquid has made an announcement. It will introduce a Staking Tier, and this tier will be decided according to the amount of HYPE staked. The advantages of the Staking Tier involve reduced transaction fees. This update is anticipated to become live on or after April 30th. As a part of this update, the entire fee system will be reconfigured. There will be separate fee schedules for perpetual contracts and spot trading. The volume of perpetual contracts and spot trading will be combined and calculated to determine the user's fee tier, with the spot trading volume weighted twice within the fee tier.
