Alleged a16z-affiliated entities purchased HYPE spot via 12 addresses using TWAP, spending over $24 million in two days.

According to monitoring by TradingBeats (formerly Hyperinsight), a cluster of execution addresses linked to a16z has launched a new round of buying activity. Twelve addresses simultaneously initiated TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price) orders earlier today, with a planned total purchase of 148,700 HYPE tokens, valued at approximately $12.15 million at the $81.7 per token price; at least $8.49 million of this round’s purchase has been confirmed executed. This round’s capital is seamlessly connected to the previous operation. Earlier, the same 12 execution addresses had invested a total of ~$11.968 million via TWAP to buy 148,100 HYPE. After the purchase was completed, these HYPE tokens were withdrawn to HyperEVM, then transferred one by one to 12 new addresses. All 12 transfer paths were identical: each first transferred 1 HYPE as a test, then the remaining amount. At 10:21 today, these 12 new addresses almost simultaneously deposited the 148,100 HYPE received in the prior round back to HyperCore, with the entire process taking only 12 seconds. Meanwhile, the original 12 execution addresses responsible for the previous purchase received a total of ~$11.998 million in USDC, and immediately launched the new ~$12.15 million HYPE TWAP orders. Partial tracking of prior activity shows the asset flow: ~724,900 HYPE were eventually aggregated into Hyperliquid Staking accounts and remain staked; between August 21 and 24, another ~172,000 HYPE were transferred via intermediaries to Wintermute’s Hot Wallet; around 1,060 HYPE were sent to Coinbase and other addresses. CZ: If Hyperliquid enters the U.S. market, it will open up market space for more decentralized products and become a major positive for the entire crypto industry.

At the 2026 Wyoming Blockchain Symposium, CZ stated that Trump mentioned Hyperliquid, adding that Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Chairman Mike Selig will explore pathways for the platform to enter the U.S. market. CZ believes that if this development is successfully implemented, it will be a major boon for the entire crypto industry. CZ noted that due to his stake in Binance, he is often perceived as a supporter of centralized exchanges, but his core motivation for entering the crypto space is his belief in decentralization. He pointed out that some users choose Hyperliquid because the platform allows wallet-based access without traditional accounts or KYC processes; if Hyperliquid can operate in the U.S. in a compliant manner, it will open the door for perpetual contracts and more decentralized services to enter the U.S. market. He argued that this is not just about Hyperliquid itself. “Hyperliquid is just the cutting edge; once this leading project enters, other projects will follow suit.” The related progress will benefit more decentralized products and their portfolio companies, while also bringing more liquidity to international centralized exchanges, enabling U.S. users to secure more competitive prices when trading crypto assets. CZ said that the crypto market is far from saturated at this stage, so competition between platforms is not a major concern. Hyperliquid’s entry into the U.S. will not only benefit itself but also expand the overall market size of the entire industry. “What is good for them will also be good for us.”

Former Yandex executive secures $26 million in funding to feed 100 billion web pages to AI agents.

Beating AI Briefing: AI search company Keenable has emerged from stealth mode, securing $26 million in seed funding led by Accel with participation from Conviction. The firm has built an independent index of over 100 billion web pages, enabling its agents to search via API or MCP and directly retrieve structured full web content. Founder Andrey Styskin previously led Yandex Search and its advertising business, and later worked on web infrastructure at Amazon AGI. Styskin also announced the launch of Web Query Language (WQL). In simple terms, Keenable aims to let agents stop searching individual web pages, and instead query the entire web as a single database. Even when answers are spread across different sites, the tool can sift through all relevant sources at once and compile the results. It can be understood as "adding an SQL-like query interface to the internet". The company’s Search API and WQL are available for free through the end of September. Keenable is not the first to develop agent search tools; rival Exa also maintains an index of around 100 billion web pages. Keenable’s immediate key advantage is pricing: $4 per 1,000 searches, versus Exa’s $7, a roughly 43% lower cost.

Perplexity Launches Portable Computer: Runs Local AI Models, Subscription Fees Remain in Effect

Beating AI Insights Flash: Perplexity has launched Portable Computer, moving its entire Computer Agent to local operation. Models, planning, tool calls, task queues, and file searches all run on users’ own devices, with local tasks no longer consuming Perplexity credits. The device initially supports NVIDIA DGX Spark, and can run Qwen 3.8 27B and Perplexity’s post-trained PPLX 27B models. For tasks requiring internet search, browser operations, or more advanced reasoning, users may call over 15 leading cloud models with explicit consent. Even though models and computing power are user-owned, Portable Computer remains exclusive to Perplexity Pro and Max subscribers. Some community users have criticized the move: “I’m buying hardware to run local models myself—why do I still have to pay Perplexity a monthly fee?”

BlackRock: IBIT will continue to grow in scale, and currently holds over 765,000 Bitcoin.

According to Forbes, Bitcoin rose approximately 20% over the past week, breaking above $80,000 for the first time since May. BlackRock Digital Assets head Robbie Mitchnick stated that the size of the firm’s Bitcoin spot ETF IBIT “will continue to grow” as BlackRock expands investor access to and allocation channels for Bitcoin. The asset manager has lowered the minimum threshold for investors to directly exchange Bitcoin for IBIT shares from $25 million to $1 million. This mechanism allows eligible investors to convert their Bitcoin holdings directly into ETF shares without first selling Bitcoin on the market, potentially avoiding capital gains taxes from asset sales. Since its launch, IBIT has become the fastest-growing ETF across multiple size metrics, currently holding over 765,000 Bitcoin for investors, valued at roughly $60 billion. Mitchnick noted real-world risks including kidnappings, ransomware, and custody failures are driving some Bitcoin holders to shift all or part of their self-custodied assets into ETFs. Recent attacks on some Coldcard hardware wallets have further heightened market concerns about the security of self-custody. Data shows the 13 U.S. Bitcoin spot ETFs, led by IBIT, recorded their strongest single-week capital inflow in nearly 10 months. Talos researchers said Bitcoin’s roughly 23% weekly gain and corresponding volatility increase rank among the highest in history, with similar trends typically linked to above-average short-to-medium-term returns. Unlike the May breakout, which lacked ETF inflow support and subsequently pulled back, this week’s rally is backed by unprecedented structural buying pressure.
