The three major U.S. stock indices posted mixed results, with the Nasdaq rising 0.87%.

Federal Reserve's Hamarck said that given persistent inflation, it is appropriate for the Fed to take action now to lower inflation. The top concern at present is that the public will lose confidence in the inflation rate returning to 2%, and she warned that inflationary psychology may begin to take shape. The latest inflation data is in line with expectations, but she does not currently believe that Fed policy is constraining the economy, nor has any clear restrictive policy been observed in financial conditions for the time being. She noted that businesses and the public are very concerned about inflation and cost-of-living issues. In addition, the neutral interest rate level she deems appropriate is higher than that of other Fed officials, and she emphasized that the U.S. Treasury has its own goals, while the Federal Reserve will maintain independent operations to achieve its own objectives.

According to Santiment Intelligence monitoring, ETH exchange balances have fallen from approximately 7.69 million to around 6.28 million since June 3, a decrease of about 1.4 million, or roughly 18%. Since August 19, some 275,000 ETH has flowed out of exchanges, pushing the current balance to the lowest level in the statistical period. Over the same timeframe, BTC exchange balances have risen by roughly 0.25%, currently near the upper end of the recent trading range. Santiment stated that the decline in ETH exchange balances has not stopped amid rising prices: while ETH has gained around 27% since August 16, a large volume of ETH has continued to flow out of exchanges.

According to Lookonchain's monitoring, BlackRock has made large-scale purchases of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) for 8 consecutive trading days, accumulating a total of 27,722 BTC (valued at approximately $2.2 billion) and 385,633 ETH (worth around $961 million), bringing the combined purchase amount to roughly $3.161 billion.

According to BIT (Bit.com) market data, US crypto-related stocks have generally widened their gains: SharpLink (SBET) is trading at $8.660, up 4.09%; Bitmine (BMNR) at $25.705, up 3.19%; Gemini (GEMI) at $4.850, up 6.83%; Bullish (BLSH) at $34.090, up 2.96%; Circle (CRCL) at $93.94, up 4.48%; Strategy (MSTR) at $133.25, up 8.17%; and Coinbase (COIN) at $189.12, up 4.04%.

According to official announcements, the Ethena Foundation has unveiled four adjustments to the Ethena ecosystem: repurchasing locked tokens held by early investors, further aligning the token’s value with equity, launching a governance proposal for revenue-based ENA repurchases, and canceling future monthly unlocks for venture capital (VC) investors. The foundation stated that it has completed the acquisition of all locked ENA tokens from key seed round investors, who had sold ENA over the past nine months. Regarding token-equity alignment, the Ethena Foundation and Ethena Labs have signed a Master Framework Agreement, which specifies that all intellectual property and value generated under the agreement will exclusively belong to the foundation, governed by ENA token holders, while equity investors in the Labs entity will no longer be entitled to residual cash flows. Additionally, the governance proposal for revenue-based ENA repurchases is now live. Under the proposal, net income from all business lines under the Ethena brand will be used for programmatic ENA repurchases, and the proposal has already been approved by the Risk Committee. The Ethena Foundation also noted that it has reached an agreement with key investors to eliminate sell pressure from future monthly VC token unlocks by releasing unvested tokens. Team tokens will remain locked in accordance with the original vesting schedule.
