The proposal aims to cut SOL’s inflation rate to roughly half, lifting its deflation rate to 30%. Current estimates project the proposal will reduce total SOL issuance by approximately 18.9 million coins over the next six years. Separately, the voting phase for the "Resource and Inclusion Fees" proposal has also wrapped up, with a participation rate of 61.14%. Here, 53.9% of votes were in favor, 18.92% opposed, and 27.18% abstained, falling short of the two-thirds threshold needed to pass. This proposal would introduce a transaction fee mechanism based on resource consumption, charging fees based on network resources consumed by transactions, and is expected to boost daily SOL burn from the current ~650 coins to between 7,500 and 9,000 coins.
