The two sides are collaborating with private enterprises to secure this majority control, with no costs borne by American taxpayers. Trump stated that the deal "will more than double U.S. oil reserves, significantly boost oil supply, and drastically lower U.S. gasoline prices for a long time to come." However, Trump did not disclose the specific details of the agreement, and the White House has not yet released an official statement on the matter.
