A crypto whale has again built a position and purchased 1,951 ETH after five months.

An industry alliance comprising Nasdaq, Germany’s Stuttgart Stock Exchange and other institutions is calling on the European Union to either scrap or raise the size cap in its tokenized securities pilot programs, warning that the current cap is too low, with some existing tokenized projects in Europe already exceeding the limit. The alliance argues that the overly restrictive size cap could hinder the development of Europe’s tokenized securities market, and recommends the EU expand the pilot scope to allow market participants to further test blockchain-based securities issuance, trading and settlement models.

Prediction market platform Kalshi has received approval from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to launch gold and silver perpetual contracts on September 10, marking the first non-crypto perpetual contract product approved by the CFTC. Kalshi first secured approval to launch crypto perpetual contracts at the end of May this year, and as of now, the notional trading volume of these products has reached $44 billion. Kalshi noted that event contracts related to gold and silver have generated over $4 billion in trading volume over the past seven months, a development that has prompted it to further expand its precious metals perpetual contract business. Additionally, Kalshi is pursuing the launch of perpetual contracts linked to U.S. equities, copper, and foreign exchange.

According to a Reuters report citing The Wall Street Journal, senior White House advisors including U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have privately warned Donald Trump that the U.S.-Iran conflict could last through the remainder of his presidential term and even beyond the January 2029 presidential inauguration. The report states that the advisors told Trump in private discussions at the White House Oval Office and Situation Room that Iran may continue resisting U.S. pressure, leading to a prolonged conflict. This assessment differs sharply from Trump’s previous public remarks, in which he predicted the war would end “immediately after” the U.S. November midterm elections. Trump also claimed Iran is attempting to influence the U.S. election but can no longer sustain resistance long-term, adding that diplomatic negotiations remain possible but are not his preferred approach. Reuters notes that the White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Between 19:41 and 21:13 Beijing time, he sold approximately 9,575 ETH in batches for ~$23.23 million, then added back roughly 2,000 ETH (worth ~$4.85 million) between 21:36 and 21:41, resulting in a net reduction of around 7,575 ETH in his ETH long positions overall. During the same period, the address reduced ~58,500 HYPE long positions for a turnover of ~$4.8 million, and sold its remaining 68 BTC long positions in batches between 20:07 and 20:39 for ~$5.25 million, leaving it with no BTC holdings. As of press time, the address still holds 25x leveraged long positions of 33,000 ETH (valued at ~$80.33 million) with an unrealized loss of ~$872,000, plus 10x leveraged long positions of 86,000 HYPE (valued at ~$6.96 million) with an unrealized loss of ~$425,100.
