US regulators have released proposed guidance on third-party risk management for banks. The Federal Reserve, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) stated that the framework aims to help banks and credit unions "better calibrate and adjust their third-party risk management practices based on the risks of individual third-party relationships." The public comment period will run for 60 days after the guidance is published in the Federal Register.
