On his personal channel, on-chain detective ZachXBT stated that Revolut allegedly failed to identify a fraudulent request, leading to a data leak exposing some users’ personally identifiable information (PII). The leaked details include copies of passports or driver’s licenses, verification selfies, account statements, IBAN numbers, withdrawal records, full transaction histories (including Bitcoin trades), as well as users’ names, dates of birth, occupations, home addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers. ZachXBT added that the number of affected users may be limited, but the incident appears to target high-net-worth individuals; multiple Revolut users received relevant security alert emails yesterday.
