Bitcoin Suisse plans to cut up to half of its Swiss-based employees and shift some of its business overseas.

Revolut disclosed that an unauthorized third party used an email address under the legitimate domain of a government agency to submit fraudulent requests for customer data access, exposing sensitive information of a small number of clients. The firm labeled the incident a "complex external impersonation scam", has blocked the relevant email, and stated its own systems and customer funds remain uncompromised. Potentially exposed data includes names, dates of birth, residential addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, copies of identity documents such as passports and driver’s licenses, identity verification selfies, account statements, IBANs, withdrawal records, and full transaction histories—including Bitcoin transactions. Mt. Gox’s former CEO Mark Karpelès has stated he is one of the affected individuals. Revolut has not disclosed the number of affected customers, whether the incident is limited to a single market, or the government agency whose domain was misused. The company has notified relevant government agencies, law enforcement bodies, data protection authorities, and financial regulators. On-chain investigator ZachXBT speculates the incident may be limited in scale but targeted high-net-worth users.
