CZ Participates in BNC Renaming Proposal Voting, Supports 'BNB Standard'

Binance founder CZ said he participated in the renaming poll for BNB Treasury Company (BNC) as a community member. After weighing various candidate names, he found his choice aligned with the voting results of other community members. CZ noted that "BNB Treasure Company" abbreviates to BTC, which could cause confusion; "Strategy" evokes associations with MSTR; the term "Reserve" is overly conservative. By contrast, he favored "BNB Standard", describing it as more impactful.

VanEck: Bitcoin Could Rise to $100,000 Next Year, Supported by Fiscal Concerns

VanEck Head of Digital Assets Research Matthew Sigel told CNBC in an interview that Bitcoin could surge to $100,000 next year, as concerns over government debt and fiscal sustainability underpin its price. Bitcoin’s volatility has fallen by roughly 50% compared to four years ago, a clear indicator that this cycle differs significantly from the previous one. Widespread over-indebtedness among global governments has helped Bitcoin maintain its resilience, he added. Sigel also noted that put options are trading at a substantial premium to call options, and the U.S. Treasury’s repurchase (repo) program has triggered a large wave of short covering, making the current time window favorable for Bitcoin bulls. Policymakers are unlikely to resolve unsustainable fiscal conditions, and further easing of market liquidity would provide an even stronger boost to Bitcoin. Discussions between VanEck and institutional clients including investment advisors and sovereign wealth funds show that these entities are all buying Bitcoin. VanEck also forecasts that the stablecoin market will continue to grow. While stablecoin regulation has been enacted into law via the GENIUS Act, banking lobby groups are still attempting to renegotiate the relevant arrangements. Earlier, the U.S. Senate failed to advance the Clarity Act, which aimed to establish a regulatory and market structure framework for crypto assets.

Bitcoin treasury firms have an average BTC holding cost of approximately $80,500, adding just 5,900 BTC over the past three months.

Glassnode data shows Bitcoin treasury firms have added just ~5,900 BTC over the past three months. At the current spot price of roughly $76,400, this translates to around $451 million in value. Most of these purchases came from Strategy, including 4,603 BTC it acquired in late August. By contrast, Bitcoin treasury firms added over 100,000 BTC in the same period last year—with 89,000 BTC bought in July 2025 alone. The average holding cost for these firms is approximately $80,500, some 6% higher than the current spot price, leaving the group overall in an unrealized loss position. Bitcoin Treasuries data indicates 181 listed companies collectively hold around 1.22 million BTC, with Strategy holding roughly 845,050 BTC. Other demand metrics have shown mixed results. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have attracted billions of dollars in inflows since early August, but their year-to-date cumulative net inflows still lag by roughly $10 billion to turn positive. The Coinbase premium indicator has been negative for most of the period since May, while total stablecoin supply this year has largely stayed between $300 billion and $310 billion, with no notable growth recently.

Muse launches for Mac, with access to users’ local files and apps.

Beating AI Express (Dongcha): Meta has launched Muse for Mac, the first version of Muse that runs directly on users’ personal computers. It can process local files and access native apps including Mail, Messages, Calendar, and Notes, with capabilities such as organizing folders, summarizing emails and chats, or using local files to fill out forms. Previously, Muse operated on Meta-provided cloud virtual machines, assisting users with tasks like online shopping, sending emails, and ordering food via browsers and connectors. The new Mac version adds support for interacting with local files and system apps. Full disk access is optional for users, and Muse still requires confirmation for sensitive operations like deleting files or sending messages. Currently, the Mac version is only available in the U.S. Last month, Meta rolled out Meta AI for Mac, but that tool was more focused on screen-based Q&A and global voice input. Muse for Mac, by contrast, functions as a true desktop agent that can directly perform actions on users’ behalf.
