Google is also piloting personal AI agents, rolling out dedicated accounts for the AI tools to be used by entire families.

Insight Beating AI Flash News: Google Labs has converted its experimental AI Agent CC into a family version. CC now has its own Google account, supporting up to 6 users. Each user can grant access to their shared emails, calendars, and Drive files to it, and CC will compile daily briefings, family schedules, and to-do lists. It can also perform tasks directly: running on a dedicated cloud computer, powered by Google’s Antigravity Agent system and Gemini model, it can fill out PDF forms, organize shopping lists, check real-time driving times, and create shared Docs and Sheets. Messages sent outside the group or actions performed outside the group still require user authorization. CC originally launched as a personal productivity AI Agent last year; in May this year, its Daily Brief feature was integrated into the Gemini App. Google has now spun off CC to redevelop it into a multi-user shared AI Agent. It remains in early-stage testing, currently available only to individual Google accounts of users aged 18+ in the U.S. Existing users will receive upgrades gradually, while new users need to join a waitlist. Personal AI Agents have seen a clear surge in popularity recently. xAI launched the Grok Bot last month, Meta rolled out Muse this month, and Instinct is also competing for similar use cases. Unlike these Agents designed primarily for individual use, Google has built CC as an "AI for the entire family" this time.

ING: Federal Reserve and European Central Bank likely to raise interest rates at least one more time

ING now projects that the U.S. Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank (ECB) will each raise interest rates once before the end of this year, a shift from its earlier forecast of keeping rates unchanged. In a report, ING economists stated, “The Fed’s Wednesday meeting and last week’s ECB meeting indicate that the two central banks are unlikely to pursue the very loose monetary policy we had previously anticipated.” The economists pointed out that both central banks are currently grappling with supply-side shocks triggered by surging energy prices, though the impact on the broader economy remains limited for now; meanwhile, the public still recalls the sharp surge in inflation in 2022 and the delayed monetary policy response at that time. The economists expect both central banks to hike interest rates in December.
