Aave founder is considering adding a token burn mechanism to Aavenomics 3.0.

According to Bloomberg, multiple subsidiaries of Samsung Group have agreed to invest a total of $10 billion in U.S. AI infrastructure firm Helix Digital Infrastructure, further expanding Samsung’s footprint in the AI infrastructure market. The investment will grant Samsung a partial stake in Helix, covering multiple sectors where Samsung already operates, including semiconductors, construction, data centers, cloud computing, and finance. Helix was founded in June this year by KKR, the Kuwait Investment Authority, NVIDIA, and U.S. power producer Vistra, and has secured over $10 billion in long-term committed capital. The company is led by Adam Selipsky, former CEO of Amazon Web Services (AWS), with NVIDIA serving as a strategic partner and Vistra as its preferred power partner. Helix is positioned not merely as a data center developer, but as an entity that integrates computing, power, and other infrastructure to accelerate the launch of large-scale AI computing facilities. This investment will also enable Samsung to leverage its own capabilities in chips, construction, cloud services, batteries, and finance to create synergies with Helix’s AI infrastructure business.

NEAR Protocol co-founder Illia Polosukhin published an article stating that the crypto industry faces a choice: either mature further, or risk being marginalized amid the absence of targeted regulation. He emphasized that the claim that decentralized systems cannot take action is untrue, noting that "decentralization does not equal unorganized." Polosukhin pointed out that while banks use AI to identify fraud, their systems are highly centralized and rely on KYC, which fails to address core issues. The crypto industry, with its richer data and talent pool, can build systems that operate without KYC while effectively curbing criminal activities and protecting the freedoms of legitimate users. He added that through industry collaboration, criminal activity in the crypto sector can be gradually rooted out; the market size of such criminal activity is far smaller than that of overall on-chain economic activity.

General Manager of cross-chain protocol NEAR Intents Alex Shevchenko said its SHIELD system has identified and blocked over $50 million in transfer attempts linked to the Bitget attacker, with the related funds later diverted to other service providers. The system actually froze around $503,000 during transaction execution, but approximately $166,000 in suspected stolen funds still transferred via NEAR Intents. Shevchenko noted that a significant portion of the $387.5 million in assets stolen by the Bitget attacker was cross-chain transferred to Ethereum. NEAR Intents will forgo the 5% bounty offered by Bitget for freezing the attacker’s funds, plus an additional 5% bounty to be provided after funds are recovered, so more funds can be returned to Bitget. The frozen assets will be returned through appropriate legal procedures. Shevchenko argued that permissionless systems do not have to be neutral; protocol developers still need to decide what actions the system allows. He stated: “Refusing to help launder stolen assets is one of our choices.” He also added that property rights are the foundation of a functioning market, and the crypto industry cannot demand recognition of digital property rights while building infrastructure that facilitates the cashing out of stolen assets. This statement comes as THORChain faces criticism for handling funds linked to the Bitget attacker. THORChain responded that its protocol is designed without censorship; the prior network suspension was an emergency security mechanism affecting the entire protocol, not selective freezing of specific funds or individual transactions. Additionally, Circle and Tether previously blacklisted a wallet linked to the Bitget attacker, freezing approximately $318,000 in USDT and USDC.

According to Reuters, AMD announced it will acquire World Labs, an AI startup founded by AI scientist Li Feifei, in an all-stock transaction valued at $8.2 billion, with the deal expected to close by the end of 2026. After the transaction wraps up, Li Feifei will join AMD as executive vice president and chief scientist, reporting directly to CEO Lisa Su. The acquisition will grant AMD access to World Labs’ research capabilities in spatial intelligence—a technology designed to help AI systems understand, reason about, and simulate 3D environments and physical interactions, with applications spanning robotics, simulation, design, and other real-world use cases. AMD said World Labs’ research will help the company understand emerging AI workloads and guide its hardware, software, and systems technology roadmap. Li Feifei noted that World Labs has been in deep technical collaboration with AMD since last year, initially focusing on optimizing model training and inference using AMD GPUs. As the partnership advanced, both parties identified synergies in integrating software, hardware, foundation models, and application ecosystems. World Labs completed a $1 billion funding round earlier this year, in which AMD also participated.
